Day 26: Reset

8.7 miles. We slept in until 7:30! Swell apparently had been up since 5. We all walked slowly to Agua Dulce and had a wonderful hangout at a PCT crest shaped highway underpass decorated with lots of graffiti. First lunch consisted of a sleeve of Oreos with PB in every one. We passed through Vasquez Rocks state park which was a striking scene of fresh natural ornamentation. I was really happy to see something new. I felt wiped by the time we had the roadwalk into town and was very happy to get to relax at Pitch’s friends BABS house. The talk of the town was whether or not the next section was closed due to the small fire we could see 2 days before. Everyone said it was closed for two days but we had no official sources confirming it. Josh, now having rejected Smooch, was having none of the fear mongering, so I started calling him Kilmonger. After coffee, Bruce, BABS dad, met us for lunch at the Mexican restaurant and Danger Noodle joined to stay with us as well. He worked in IT but was also a musician that played in several bands including one with full devil body and face paint; therefore, he went by Diablo. I gorged on chips and salsa and went back to their traditional Thai household. It was one of the most interesting and relaxing houses I had entered that was bursting with character. His wife owned a tradition Thai dancing company and was currently at LAX getting freshly imported Durian that she delivered to clients. Between the instruments and props, their house was packed full of interesting trinkets. We showered, set up Wii bowling and Mario kart, and went to pizza for dinner that made me way too full. After yoga, we all went to sleep in a comfy household.
